Small Window Replacement Projects Matter Too
Replacing six small square windows finished the job started by a previous homeowner
Teddy & Maxine Jump lived in their rural Hanover, Ind., home for less than two years when they reached out to Improveit for a small window replacement job. Prior to purchasing the home, Maxine says the previous owners made updates, including replacing some – but not all – of the home’s small square windows, and it was time to complete that job.
After meeting with an Improveit design consultant, the Jumps chose all white Performax54 double-hung windows to replace the six remaining old wood windows. Despite some rain that moved through on installation day, Maxine said she was impressed that the team finished the work easily in one day! And even with just six windows, this small window replacement project will make a difference for the Jumps’ home.

Five of the six new windows were installed on the east and south sides of the house, as well as one on the west-facing rear of the house. These placements will put Performax54’s Thermostat glass to great use. During the hot summer months, Thermostat glass will reflect the sun’s rays away from the home, while allowing it to pass through in the winter months. In both instances, the Jumps will see the benefit of improved energy efficiency, as their heating and air conditioning units won’t have to work nearly as hard, and the rooms will be much more comfortable than the old windows would allow.
Maxine told the Improveit team that she and Teddy were very pleased with the finished project. “The guys that came to put my windows in were very polite and had the windows done in no time,” she says. “They cleaned up after themselves. We would highly recommend them!”
We’re so glad we had the chance to work on the Jumps’ home, and look forward to working with them in the future. “We have a sliding glass door we were thinking of doing something with,” Maxine adds. “As soon as we’re ready we’re going to call Improveit!”
